American Red Cross Mission Statement for Volunteers

To support the Blood Services Region by providing excellent customer services, contributing to the well-being of the community, assisting the community in maintaining a safe and sufficient blood supply, and selflessly volunteering valuable skills, time, energy and kindness. To volunteer, send an email to our Volunteer Office by clicking here.

Volunteers aid the American Red Cross in providing the safest possible, most reliable blood services to the American people. The American Red Cross is driven by volunteers who realize the importance of giving blood and work towards maintaining a healthy blood supply. A smiling volunteer can be the crucial deciding factor to motivate donors to give blood again.

A variety of volunteer opportunities are available and flexible time schedules and locations are offered. Anyone fourteen or older can volunteer and we will work with you to find the position that fits you best. Free training is provided for all volunteer opportunities.

Volunteers: A Valuable Asset

The American Red Cross values each and every one of its volunteers as a nugget of gold. In this light, volunteers...

Represent beauty: Our volunteers help save lives and make the world beautiful.

Do not tarnish: Positive attitudes help our volunteers always see the good in anything.

Conduct electricity: Our volunteers provide energy to the American Red Cross.

Can be used for life-saving medical procedures: Aiding in the blood donation process, many lives are saved because of our volunteers.
